The story
At Ristorante Daniela, located within the boutique hotel Sette Querce in San Casciano dei Bagni, the kitchen focuses on traditional Tuscan recipes revisited with a creative touch. The key ingredient is locally sourced, high-quality produce, giving each dish a deep sense of place.
The menu highlights classics of the region, such as baked pecorino with truffle, chicken liver pâté, Ribollita soup, Val d’Orcia lamb, and Chianina steak or tartare. All pasta is handmade. The signature dish is “pici all’aglione”, a thick, hand-rolled pasta in a garlicky tomato sauce. Another house favorite is pigeon-filled potato tortelli.
The restaurant’s refined yet unpretentious approach has earned it a Michelin recommendation—a recognition that underscores its commitment to authentic Tuscan cuisine executed with precision. The dining experience is complemented by a carefully selected wine list and the option to purchase local products at Enoteca Daniela, which also hosts private dinners for up to 18 people.
Adjacent to the main dining room, the enoteca offers family-produced wines from the Giacomo Baraldo winery, local cheeses, jams, and olive oil. Private wine tastings are also available, providing a deeper look into the region’s viticulture.
Ristorante Daniela is an integral part of a stay at Sette Querce, but it also welcomes outside guests seeking a genuine taste of Tuscany in a warm, understated setting.
