The story
At Strada Nicolini Basso in Tre Stelle, Barbaresco, Visione Restaurant and Living welcomes guests with a wide window that merges land and sky. The dining room offers a breathtaking view of the UNESCO-listed hills, setting the stage for what the team describes as "a magical journey." This elegant fine dining restaurant, recognized in the Michelin guide, is rooted in the culinary traditions of Langhe while constantly exploring alternative paths and experimental detours.
Owner Luca Orilia explains that the experience begins outside the restaurant, with extreme dedication to every detail. A ringing bell signals the start of the meal: "Forget everything and let yourself be guided solely by the vision that unfolds before your eyes."
Executive Chef Samuele Di Murro, a Piedmontese native, describes his cooking as a return home. "Every dish recounts the flavors of childhood, because only what is born here can tell the story of this land," he says. His kitchen is a panoramic lab in constant transformation, seeking the unexpected and the unpredictable each day. The cuisine is contemporary Piedmontese, driven by deep technical knowledge and a respect for ingredients processed at their highest expression.
Guests can choose between two tasting journeys: "Certainty," a five-course exploration of Langa tradition, and "Beyond," a seven-course act of experimentation. An à la carte option is also available. The restaurant also offers a business lunch from Monday to Friday, featuring two courses and dessert for 40 euros, combining excellent ingredients with culinary creativity.
Beyond the restaurant, Visione includes "Living," a refined yet informal space for aperitivo and post-meal drinks, with a constantly updated menu of traditional delights and experimental finger foods. The wine cellar is a cornerstone of the experience, housing over 5,000 bottles from 200 producers and around 800 labels. While Italy and France lead the selection, the list maintains a profound focus on Piedmont alongside more audacious choices.
Every aspect of Visione—from the dining room to the cuisine—is guided by attention to detail and the pursuit of excellence, promoting an experience for both the eyes and the palate.
