The story
In the heart of Arona, just a short walk from the shores of Lake Maggiore, Condividere is a bistro where the name says it all. The Italian word “Condividere” means “to share,” and that spirit—of conviviality, of passing a plate, of exchanging stories—is the foundation of everything Chef Stefano Minervino does here.
Chef Minervino’s path to this intimate 30-seat dining room was anything but linear. He trained at the Istituto Alberghiero “E. Maggia” in Stresa, then gathered experience across Italy in settings as varied as Michelin-starred kitchens, street food stalls, and hotel restaurants. This breadth of experience, from fine dining to the most casual of meals, gives his cooking a grounded, confident feel. Condividere is the realization of a long-held dream.
The restaurant’s philosophy is simple: dining out is about more than just eating. It’s about the moment shared between friends, family, and even with the staff and the chef. The goal is to create a sense of well-being through taste, warmth, and familiarity. There is no time limit on your table, no pressure to rush. You come, you eat, and you relax.
The space itself is designed for this unhurried pace. With two small dining rooms and a terrace of 35 seats overlooking Piazza San Graziano, it feels like a personal invitation rather than a commercial transaction. The location, slightly off the main lakeside promenade, offers a welcome escape from the busier crowds.
This approach to welcoming, high-quality cooking earned Condividere a Michelin Bib Gourmand in 2026, an award that celebrates good food at a good value. The cuisine is a contemporary take on classic Italian dishes, rooted in a deep respect for the raw ingredients that Chef Minervino has always been fascinated by. The menu changes with the seasons, but the focus remains on clean, honest flavors that are meant to be passed around the table.
