The story
In the quiet of Brescia, between the Franciacorta wine region and the hills of Sant’Anna, Lanzani Bottega & Bistrot unfolds across two floors. What was once a historic butcher’s shop has become a contemporary venue that blends the intimacy of a gourmet deli, the warmth of a restaurant, and the conviviality of a wine bar. The Michelin guide has recognised this evolution, placing the address in its selection for its consistent quality.
The day begins at 7:00 with Jamaica coffee and continues with a curated gastronomy counter: cured meats, cheeses, and carefully selected specialities. At lunch, the chef proposes daily off-menu dishes in a welcoming setting. From 18:00, the space turns to aperitivo and dinner, with the option of dining in the intimate wine cellar rooms. The modern Italian cuisine here is rooted in the same authenticity that defined the original macelleria.
At the heart of the operation is Alessandro Lanzani, described as an “artigiano del gusto” – a craftsman of taste. His approach to Italian contemporary cuisine draws on meticulous sourcing and a respect for tradition, now reinterpreted in a modern key. The restaurant also offers a catering service, an extension of the same philosophy, for events in Italy and abroad.
The Michelin Recommended award reflects the consistency and care found here. The atmosphere is relaxed yet refined, with outdoor seating available, and the space is wheelchair accessible. Whether for a quick breakfast, a long lunch, or an evening glass of wine, Lanzani Bottega & Bistrot adapts to the rhythm of the day.
