The story
In Brescia, a family story that began in 1875 continues to unfold at Trattoria Porteri. What started as a salumeria—the true heart and pantry of the operation—grew into a trattoria in 1995, expanding the family’s dream of hospitality. Today, the fifth generation, siblings Francesca and Marco Porteri, carries the tradition forward with enthusiasm.
The restaurant is a place where time seems to slow down. Spread across three levels and 600 square meters, the spaces include the warm, authentic salumeria, the rustic trattoria, and a luminous champagneria. Each room tells a story, inviting guests to settle in with a bottle of wine, a perfectly balanced charcuterie board, or a plate of Lombardian cuisine.
Chef Marco selects seasonal dishes from the menu, offering a genuine journey through the region’s flavors. Standouts include the hand-made bigoli with duck ragù and fennel, slow-cooked for over two hours, and the boned quail alla bresciana, a signature dish that changes its accompaniment with the season. The menu also features classics like malfatti with Bagoss cheese and casoncelli stuffed with Culatello di Zibello.
This dedication to quality and tradition has earned Trattoria Porteri a Michelin Bib Gourmand, a recognition of good quality, good value cooking. It is a place where the past and present meet, offering a genuine taste of Brescia.
