The story
At the foot of the mountains in Albes, just outside Bressanone, the Kircherhof is both a working farm and a gasthof run by the Noflatscher family. Stephan, Verena, Wolfgang and Barbara, together with their children, welcome guests to a place where hospitality is rooted in the land. “Our root is agriculture,” they say. “From it arises everything you can see, taste and experience on our farm and inn.” The entire farm is certified organic, and that ethos extends to the table.
The kitchen at Kircherhof is described as “Südtiroler Küche trifft neue Ideen” – South Tyrolean meets new ideas. This is Alpine cooking with a contemporary sensibility: the same clear, honest flavours of the region, but presented with a lightness and precision that earned the restaurant a Michelin Recommendation in 2026. Quality, taste and sustainability guide every dish. Ingredients come from the family’s own fields and from local producers who share their commitment to the land.
The atmosphere is one of genuine warmth. The Kircherhof offers a bar, breakfast, lunch and dinner, with outdoor seating for sunny days and space for private events. Whether you stop by for a midday meal or a longer evening, the Noflatschers want you to feel the life of the farm – the seasons, the produce, the care. “Go with us on the journey and experience what makes Kircherhof so special,” they invite. The result is a dining experience that feels both rooted and fresh, a true expression of Alpine contemporary cuisine in South Tyrol.
