The story
On via San Francesco in Carpi, Momento al 25 offers a refined take on modern cuisine. The restaurant has earned a Michelin Recommended distinction for 2026, a nod to its careful, ingredient-driven cooking.
The kitchen works with the day’s best catches. A dedicated “crudi” section changes daily—raw oysters from Tia Maara and Ancelin, a tuna tartare with basil and cherry tomatoes, scallops in vanilla oil, and red shrimp or scampi by the piece. These are simple, precise preparations that let the seafood speak.
Beyond the raw bar, the menu moves through antipasti, primi, and secondi. In June, an antipasto of roasted eggplant with tomato and basil sits alongside a warm squid salad with datterini tomatoes and crispy pancetta. First courses include fregola sarda like a risotto with seafood, tagliolini with garlic, oil, chili and sea urchin, and egg chitarra with pecorino and crispy octopus. Second courses range from a Mediterranean-style gratinated calamari to marinated octopus lacquered in soy and honey, or a beef filet tagliata with roast potatoes.
There is also a “surprise menu” for those who prefer not to choose. At €45 per person, it offers three courses plus dessert, selected by the chef based on market and seasonality. The restaurant notes that even the front-of-house doesn’t know what’s in it—this is a true blind tasting.
To finish, desserts include a mirto and lemon sorbet, a coconut and dark chocolate mousse with mango sauce, and a Sardinian-style parfait with pecorino, hazelnut, pear, and honey.
The wine list is carefully curated, and the dining room is equipped for air conditioning, outdoor seating, and private parties, with gluten-free and vegetarian options available. It is a comfortable, modern space for lunch or dinner, closed on Sundays.
