The story
Locanda La Posta has stood in Cavour since the beginning of the 17th century. Originally called "La Posta Reale" (The Royal Post), it was a stop for royal coaches where guests rested and savoured the chef's delicacies while horses were changed. The Genovesio family has hosted figures such as Count of Cavour, Giovanni Giolitti, and Queen Paola Ruffo di Calabria, as well as writers like Edmondo De Amicis.
For ten generations, the kitchen has prepared genuine food following recipes handed down through the family. This is Piedmontese cuisine at its most authentic – rooted in tradition but alive in the present. The Michelin guide recognizes the restaurant as Recommended, a testament to its consistent quality. The dishes are a direct link to the region’s culinary heritage, with an interesting wine list to match.
