The story
In 2004, Stefano Bartolini opened a second outpost of his successful Osteria del Gran Fritto in Cesenatico. This time, he chose Milano Marittima, right on the shore. He envisioned a place where the sand and wood of the veranda would blur, where the wind and the sound of rigging would accompany every plate. The result is Osteria Bartolini – a bright, welcoming fish restaurant that feels inseparable from its coastal setting.
The kitchen draws its soul from the fishing boats, the quays of the Canal Port, and the homes of the sailors who came before. Bartolini calls it “cucina da peschereccio” – a cuisine born of intense perfumes, defined flavors, direct and sincere. Every dish carries a memory, a habit, a story. The seasonal seafood is treated with respect and simplicity, letting the quality of the catch speak.
This honest approach has earned Osteria Bartolini a Michelin Bib Gourmand every year since 2012, a consistent nod to good-quality, good-value cooking. The award reflects the kitchen’s unwavering commitment to its roots: no gimmicks, just seafood prepared with the confidence of tradition.
The restaurant is open daily for lunch and dinner. No reservations are accepted – you simply arrive and settle in. For those who prefer to enjoy the food at home, the same dishes are available for takeaway, cooked to order. It’s a straightforward, generous welcome, as sincere as the food itself.
