The story
Ora d’Aria is the realization of a childhood passion. Chef Marco Stabile grew up cooking with his mother and grandmother, and those early experiences sparked a desire to "give emotions and be able to tell about his experiences, his memories through his dishes." After hotel school in Florence and years working in restaurants, he opened his own restaurant on via dei Georgofili. Today, Ora d’Aria is a Michelin Recommended destination for contemporary cuisine in Florence.
The kitchen emphasizes seasonality: "Every season has its wonderful ingredients." The menu changes accordingly, offering à la carte or tasting options. An extensive wine list and wine pairings complement the meal. The dining room features a large window into the kitchen, where guests can watch the team at work. A private room is available for special dinners.
Reviewers consistently note the impeccable service—"attentive to everything but never intrusive or prissy"—and the quality of ingredients. One wrote, "the food was superlative, with raw materials of the highest quality blended together in a masterful way to bring out every flavour." Another praised the "very nice ambience" and the view of the kitchen. The restaurant is open for dinner five nights a week, closed Thursday and Sunday.
