The story
Radicì was born from a simple conviction: that cooking is the result of encounters, experiences and discoveries. The team behind this Iseo restaurant spent years working in kitchens across Europe, the United States, Asia and South America, absorbing techniques and traditions from each. When they returned to the shores of Lake Iseo, they brought that wealth of knowledge home.
The result is an Italian Contemporary cuisine that respects the territory while looking outward. “Our cooking is guided by seasonality and respect for the ingredient,” the restaurant explains. Techniques learned abroad are used not to impress, but to enhance each raw material in the most natural way possible. Every dish begins with the choice of ingredient, sourced from producers who share the same attention to quality and seasonality. The menu evolves constantly, built around what the land and lake offer at that precise moment.
Radicì occupies a historic building in the centre of Iseo, at the mouth of an ancient courtyard. The space is divided into two distinct experiences: the Winter Room, an intimate and essential hall with vaulted ceilings, and the Secret Garden, a peaceful courtyard embraced by old stone walls. The garden comes alive during the warmer months, offering a serene spot for lunch or dinner. The modern furniture creates a deliberate contrast with the historic surroundings, a juxtaposition the Michelin guide notes as “pleasant.” The atmosphere is unhurried, designed to let guests pause and savour the moment.
Two degustation paths define the current offering. 5° Elemento is a menu rich in umami, built around small details that tell the team’s story. L’Orto puts vegetables at the centre, celebrating the garden’s bounty. Both are constructed with precision and simplicity, reflecting a kitchen that values balance over complexity. The wine list is carefully selected to complement each course.
Michelin has recognised Radicì in its 2024 edition, describing the cuisine as “essential dishes of great taste” that start from local products and are unapologetically inspired by international preparations. For a restaurant that sees itself as a dialogue between territory, technique and cultural influences, that recognition feels earned. Radicì is a place where the past and present coexist, and where Italian Contemporary cooking becomes a genuine, memorable experience.
