The story
Perched above the Ligurian coast, L'Agave is an enoteca con cucina that feels like a discovery. Owner Marco’s philosophy is simple: “Perdere la concezione del tempo con la bellezza negli occhi” – lose track of time with beauty in your eyes. The setting delivers. Glass walls and terraces overlook a small port and the sloping coastline. A giant agave at the entrance gives the place its name. Every evening, the last rays of sun sink into the sea, sometimes accompanied by the silhouette of a dolphin.
The story is unexpected. In 2011, the municipality of Framura opened a 5 km bike path along an old railway track linking Framura, Bonassola and Levanto. They needed someone to run a bike rental in the former station waiting room. Marco stepped up. From that rental, his passion for Liguria’s food and wine grew, and L'Agave was born – a natural evolution from bikes to plate.
The kitchen follows the same rooted spirit. The menu is built on Ligurian traditions: herbs, seafood, olive oil. Every dish follows “la ricerca del bello attraverso il buono” – the search for beauty through taste. The wine list is equally Ligurian-focused, with a strong selection of local labels, true to the enoteca concept.
L'Agave earned a Michelin Recommended distinction, a recognition that matches its quiet confidence. It’s a place where the food and wine come from the land around you, and the view reminds you why you came.
