The story
Coppola Rossa has been a fixture on Via Maddalena in Manfredonia for over four decades. The restaurant is a family affair, led by Matteo D’Ambrosio, who carries forward the same passion that started it all. The philosophy is simple: treat every guest like part of the family, with warm, genuine hospitality and food that speaks of the sea and the land.
The kitchen focuses on the catch from the Gulf of Manfredonia, turning local fish into dishes that honour the old Sipontine traditions. Two house signatures stand out: the zuppa di Manfredonia, a hearty soup made from the day’s freshest catch, and a lavish buffet of raw seafood and frittelline di mare – little fried morsels that capture the essence of the coast. While seafood is the star, the menu also includes meat dishes and homemade desserts, all built on carefully sourced ingredients from the surrounding Puglian countryside.
This dedication to quality and tradition has not gone unnoticed. Coppola Rossa earned a Michelin Recommended award, a recognition that reflects the consistency and authenticity of its cooking. Whether you choose a classic recipe or one of the modern reinterpretations the chef occasionally introduces, you taste the same genuine flavours that have defined this restaurant since 1983.
