Autem* in Milan

Autem* occupies a corner of via Serviliano Lattuada 2 in Milan, where the kitchen works in the modern cuisine idiom with a clear farm-to-table sensibility. The menu evolves with the seasons, drawing from local producers to build plates that are both current and grounded. This approach earned the restaurant a Recommended nod from the Michelin guide in 2026, a recognition that signals disciplined technique and genuine ingredient respect.

The dining room is designed for comfort: fully air-conditioned and wheelchair accessible, removing barriers to enjoyment. While the restaurant keeps a low profile regarding its chef and origin story, the food speaks directly—each dish a study in balance and freshness. Luca Natalini is undoubtedly one of the most interesting chefs of his generation. A Tuscan who gained extensive experience abroad before deciding to open his own restaurant in Milan. The space revolves around the kitchen, much like a theater stage, where diners can watch the chefs at work, yet there is no noise coming from the kitchen, as silence and discipline prevail. His cuisine is accessible yet offers many intriguing ideas; among his most famous dishes are the "pasta in bianco" or "as if it were a bourguignonne," and oyster with horse meat. The menu features a small à la carte selection and two tasting menus that change according to the season and market availability: one priced at €100 with four savory courses, and another at €130 with six savory courses. The wine list offers a wide range and allows you to drink well at reasonable prices, especially considering Milan's high costs, though our recommendation is to leave it to the highly skilled sommelier, who offers two pairing options: four glasses for €70 or six glasses for €90.
