The story
In the second courtyard of Mandarin Oriental, Milan, Seta brings together precision and warmth. Chef Antonio Guida leads the kitchen with a style that honours Italian tradition while embracing creative techniques — a balance that has earned the restaurant two Michelin stars.
The dining room is defined by clean lines and large windows that open onto a planted outdoor space, where guests can dine in warmer months. Inside, a glass-walled kitchen gives the meal a theatrical edge: you watch the brigade at work, each plate assembled with quiet focus. The atmosphere is elegant but unhurried, with a dress code that asks for refined attire.
The menu changes with the seasons, built around classic Italian ingredients reinterpreted through a contemporary lens. Chef Guida’s approach is supported by a long-standing team: Executive Sous-Chef Federico Dell’Omarino, his right hand for over two decades, and Pastry Chef Marco Pinna, who brings sweetness and lightness to every course.
Beyond the main dining room, Seta offers a Chef’s Table experience and a monthly charity lunch series called A Casa di Antonio, where up to twelve guests join Chef Guida at his home table for a family-style meal. Proceeds support “I Fiori Rari,” a fund for rare disease research founded by the chef.
Seta is closed Sunday and Monday. Lunch and dinner are served Tuesday through Saturday, with a three-course lunch menu that can be completed in an hour. The restaurant is wheelchair accessible and welcomes small dogs. Reservations are recommended.
