The story
Within the architectural complex of the Gallerie d’Italia museum on Piazza della Scala, Voce Aimo e Nadia establishes a fluid space where art, culture, and food converge. This is not merely a restaurant but a multifaceted destination comprising a Caffetteria, a Ristorante, a Giardino, and a Dispensa. It represents a new benchmark for Milanese gastronomic culture, recognized by Michelin for its quality.
The kitchen is led by chef Lorenzo Pesci, a young talent from the Marche region who trained under Carlo Cracco. His menu is defined as "creative modernity," showcasing Italian excellence reinterpreted in a gourmet key. Dishes such as the Risotto Gran Riserva Carnaroli with candied taggiasche olives, walnut paste, and grapefruit exemplify this approach, seeking harmony with the museum’s artistic offerings through attention to color and flavor.
During the warmer months, the restaurant expands into the Giardino, a green oasis in the city center. This space, where writer Alessandro Manzoni once found inspiration, hosts the restaurant for an open-air dining experience. Special events like the Pranzo della Domenica (Sunday Lunch) and the Giro d’Italia in 8 settimane—a cycle of themed dinners exploring Italian regional identities—bring a convivial, seasonal rhythm to the restaurant’s calendar.
The interiors, designed by architect Michele De Lucchi, blend the diverse architectural styles of the Gallerie d’Italia with oak, Botticino marble, and Thonet Vienna furnishings. A private room, La Finestra sul Giardino di Manzoni, offers an intimate setting for events. The Caffetteria and Cocktail Bar extends the experience with signature drinks that pay homage to Italian culinary masters, from Gualtiero Marchesi to Massimo Bottura, further deepening the dialogue between gastronomic culture and mixology.
