The story
At the AMONTI Chalet Resort in Mühlen in Taufers, JOHANNS Ristorante Gourmet by Tina Marcelli brings a refined yet welcoming take on Alpine cuisine. The restaurant is part of a five-star luxury chalet resort, but the atmosphere is one of quiet warmth—a place where the day begins with a gourmet breakfast served in the serene dining room, each morning offering a new, delicately prepared surprise.
JOHANNS is not a one-meal affair. Lunch Time runs from 12:00 to 14:00, offering small, elegant dishes with panoramic views of the valley. Sweet Surprise follows in the afternoon, with fresh pastries from the in-house pastry shop at the CLUB HOUSE. Dinner is the main event: a thoughtful, seasonal menu rooted in the products of South Tyrol. The kitchen team works with clear, pure water, mountain air, and selected essences, turning local ingredients into soulful, refined plates.
JOHANNS holds a Michelin recommendation and has earned the Green Michelin Star for its commitment to sustainable gastronomy, responsible resource use, and conscious high-level dining. The restaurant is also awarded 2 forks by Gambero Rosso, 4 toques and 17.5 points by Gault&Millau, and was named “Sorpresa dell’Anno” by Identità Golose. These accolades reflect a kitchen that is both deeply rooted in the Alpine tradition and forward-looking in its practices.
The restaurant sits within a resort of 23 luxury chalets, designed to blend seamlessly into the Alpine landscape. The dining room offers a view of the surrounding peaks and forests, making the meal itself a part of the valley’s rhythm. Whether for a light lunch, a sweet afternoon treat, or a full dinner, JOHANNS delivers Alpine cuisine with sincerity and skill.
