The story
Just outside Parma, on the quiet Strada Farnese, I Tri Siochètt has been welcoming guests for more than 25 years. What began as an ancient osteria has grown into a spacious restaurant spread over two floors, with several dining rooms that can seat 200 guests – and up to 270 when the summer garden opens. A large parking lot makes it easy to reach, and the setting feels like a natural extension of the surrounding farmland.
The restaurant describes itself as “un cuore pulsante di sapori” – a beating heart of flavours that opens the doors to Emilian table tradition. And indeed, the cooking stays firmly rooted in the local pantry: Parmigiano-Reggiano, prosciutto, salumi, and the fresh pasta that defines this region.
I Tri Siochètt holds a Michelin Bib Gourmand, an award that recognises good quality cooking at a good value. It’s a fitting nod to a kitchen that prides itself on serving food with “sapienza genuina” – genuine wisdom – and ingredients as carefully selected as those you’d want on your own table at home.
The menu reads like a greatest hits of Emilian cuisine: salumi and torta fritta to start, then fresh pasta such as tortelli d’erbetta alla parmigiana, tortelli di spalla cotta, and anolini in brodo – the kind of pasta that tastes of Sunday family lunches. There are ample secondi and homemade desserts too, all prepared with the same respect for tradition. The restaurant also boasts a generous wine list to accompany every course.
The atmosphere is welcoming and unhurried, with private rooms available for groups and outdoor seating for warmer months. Whether you’re stopping for a long lunch or a leisurely dinner, I Tri Siochètt delivers the authentic flavours of Emilia-Romagna in a setting that feels both historic and lived-in. Over the years, the kitchen has served more than 100,000 plates – and, as they note, every one came back empty.
