The evolution of the wine shop

Innocenti Wine Experiences in Poggibonsi began as a wine distribution project by Gianni and Francesco in 2008. What started as a wine shop evolved organically: a kitchen was added to create a complete experience, transforming the space into a wine bar and restaurant where the passion for wine and authentic cuisine come together.

Located on the outskirts of Poggibonsi, surrounded by artisanal wineries, the interior is striking. The walls are lined with hundreds of wine bottles, with tasting tables alternating with shelves stocking approximately 1,200 labels. Guests can sample almost anything by the glass, and bottles are served at the table with no extra charge.

A contemporary kitchen in Tuscany

The cuisine here is contemporary, transcending regional boundaries while respecting the seasons. Chef Thomas Palmieri handles both land and sea dishes with a light yet flavorful touch. The menu offers creative compositions: zucchini flower stuffed with pappa al pomodoro and fried, served on crispy quinoa with Grana Padano; tagliatelle with farmyard ragù, fava beans, pecorino fondue, curry, and fennel; guinea fowl breast and leg on a cream of carrots, ginger, and chard; and a crispy smoked potato with parmesan zabaglione. Three tasting menus are available — the three-course Cuvée, the four-course Nature, and the five-course Prestige — best paired by the glass.

The atmosphere is warm and convivial, with a well-kept glassed-in veranda perfect for lunch or dinner. The staff is professional and knowledgeable, offering attentive service without pretension.

Recognition and awards

Innocenti Wine Experiences has earned recognition from the Michelin Guide, which praised the "interesting complexity and originality" of the dishes and the astonishing wine selection. The restaurant also holds Gambero Rosso's Tre Bottiglie and Bibenda awards. This recognition reflects the consistent quality and evolution of the project, which expanded with a second location in the heart of Florence in 2025.
