The story
Locanda Marchesani describes its approach as inspired by two kinds of love: one for the past, reviving memories through dishes, and one for the future, driven by research and passion. The kitchen respects seasonality, works with no waste, and transforms every part of the raw ingredient into something new. Traditional Roman flavours are reinterpreted with modern techniques, keeping the purity of taste intact.
The restaurant has earned a place in the Michelin Guide, where an inspector noted: “For generations the Marchesani family has invested substance and energy in this delightful restaurant run with love. Originally its cuisine was straightforward and typically Roman, but now the bar has been raised.” That shift toward a more refined, contemporary style is at the heart of what makes Locanda Marchesani stand out in Pomezia.
The dining room is designed to be elegant yet welcoming, with an intimate, warm atmosphere. Bread is made in-house with sourdough, and the tasting menus—ranging from three to seven courses—offer a journey through the seasons. The restaurant also offers a selection of gourmet products to take home, and it hosts private events with customised menus. Whether for a festive celebration or a quiet lunch, the focus remains on hospitality and letting the food speak.
