The story
D.one is not a conventional restaurant. It is a “ristorante diffuso” – a concept born from the vision of entrepreneur Nuccia De Angelis and chef Davide Pezzuto. The dining spaces are spread across several buildings in the old military quarter of Montepagano, a hilltop village overlooking the Adriatic. Guests choose their setting: the main hall, a small room with a fireplace, the intimate “Noi Due” privée, the cellar for a tasting, or the event hall. The kitchen is centralized, but the experience changes with each room. This original format, unique in the restaurant world, earned the venue a Michelin star in 2026 for high-quality cooking.
Born in Salento in 1980, Pezzuto’s early passion was running the family farm. Cooking came later, but his talent quickly propelled him through the kitchens of Rossellinis in Ravello, Abac in Barcelona, and La Pergola in Rome, where he served as sous-chef to Heinz Beck.
