The story
Mezzaluna delivers organic Mediterranean dining in Turin’s historic center, operating since 1994 through a strictly plant-based approach that blends local tradition with global techniques. The kitchen applies macrobiotic principles to ensure every meal remains nutritionally balanced while respecting seasonal cycles. This commitment to ethical food production recently secured recognition from the We're Smart Green Guide, which awarded the establishment three green radishes.
Every dish arrives using certified organic ingredients sourced directly from regional producers. The lunch service draws from daily prepared items available for both dine-in and takeaway, keeping the menu lean. Evening meals expand slightly to accommodate longer sit-down occasions, incorporating nut pastes like tahina and fermented soy products such as tempeh into everyday Mediterranean preparations.
The dining room occupies an eighteenth-century building situated directly in Turin’s Quadrilatero Romano district. Interior seating maintains an informal layout designed for quick lunches or relaxed dinners. Large windows open onto Piazza Emanuele Filiberto, allowing summer guests to enjoy the animated street life while eating outdoors.
