The story
Rimulas takes its name from the Vogherese dialect word for “rapa” (turnip) – a nod to the agricultural roots of the Oltrepó Pavese region where it sits. The restaurant describes itself as a trattoria contemporanea, a modern take on the classic Italian trattoria, with a clear focus on the land that surrounds it.
The interior blends contemporary design with Nordic warmth. Wood and green tones set the mood, and the open kitchen places the cooking at the heart of the room. In the dining room, maître Cecilia Marenzi guides guests through a relaxed, engaging evening.
After significant experience elsewhere, chef Mauro Enoch has realised his most important project here. His cooking is creative and deeply respectful of the territory, using only fresh, quality ingredients. The menu changes with the seasons, reflecting what is best at that moment. This is Lombardian cuisine, but not in a rigid, traditional sense – it’s an evolving expression of the region’s produce.
Rimulas earned a Michelin Bib Gourmand in 2026, an award that highlights good quality, good value cooking. It’s a fitting recognition for a restaurant that balances ambition with genuine hospitality, offering a refined yet unpretentious taste of Lombardian food in the heart of Voghera.
