The story

Plaiga TOKYO: French Cuisine Through Japan’s Four Seasons in Tokyo

A Journey Through Japan’s Seasons

At Plaiga TOKYO, French cuisine becomes a vehicle for exploring the country’s rich seasonal bounty. The restaurant’s philosophy is rooted in gratitude and respect for nature’s gifts, working closely with producers to bring the finest ingredients from across Japan to the table. Classic French techniques are applied with freedom and boldness, resulting in a new style of French dining that changes with the calendar.

The Cuisine

The menu is built around the concept of “traveling through Japan’s four seasons.” Each course highlights the peak of a particular ingredient, from spring’s tender vegetables to winter’s prized truffles. The lunch and dinner courses are offered in two formats: a Gourmand menu of eight or ten dishes, and a Special menu that features Hida beef Chateaubriand paired with seasonal truffles. Every dish is a tribute to the moment – a taste that can only be experienced here and now. This commitment to seasonal, ingredient-driven French cuisine earned Plaiga TOKYO a Michelin Recommended distinction for 2026.

Wine Pairings

A walk-in cellar holds over 2,000 bottles, carefully selected by the sommelier. The wine list focuses on France and Italy, with rare vintages and labels. A seasonal Gourmand Pairing is designed to accompany the journey through the courses, and non-alcoholic pairings are also available.

The Space

The restaurant is intimate, with just six tables and one private room that seats around ten guests. The layout is designed to create a sense of privacy and elegance, making it suitable for anniversaries, dates, or business dinners. The dress code is smart casual, and the atmosphere is refined yet welcoming.

Located in the Marunouchi Garden Tower, directly connected to Otemachi Station, Plaiga TOKYO offers a serene escape from the city’s bustle. Here, French cuisine becomes a celebration of Japan’s seasons, ingredient by ingredient.
