The story
NaDo was born from the Atlantic. The textures, flavours and colours of the ocean that washes the coast of A Coruña are its very reason for being. Situated on the city’s maritime waterfront, surrounded by the daily rhythm of fishing boats and market stalls, this is the new home of chef Iván Domínguez. The restaurant breathes dynamism, sincerity, spontaneity, coherence and fun — a direct extension of Domínguez’s life and surroundings, translated onto the plate with absolute respect for the product.
Iván Domínguez describes his cooking as a form of exploration. “Like a navigator charting his course, following an ancient navigation chart of primordial explorations, I go out to sea to explore and rediscover the paths that flavour has left in our memory,” he writes. At NaDo, he acts as host of this Atlantic Galicia — its products, its people, its identity — cooking his dreams “a lume manso,” over a gentle flame. This approach has earned NaDo a place in the Michelin guide, a recognition that speaks to the sincerity and coherence of his work.
Like the traditional taverns of fishing villages, life and rotation define the menu at NaDo. The carta is described as “live and in constant evolution,” changing with the tides and the market. The team behind it all is young, enthusiastic and immensely talented — a group that makes the restaurant’s daily magic happen. Whether you sit at the counter for a close view of the action or at a table, the experience is one of direct, unmediated connection to the Atlantic and its bounty.
