The story
Perched in the Parque de la Ereta, high above Alicante, La Ereta offers a dining experience that is as much about its setting as it is about the food. The restaurant commands panoramic views of the city, the Mediterranean Sea, and the Santa Bárbara Castle, creating an atmosphere that feels both removed from the everyday and deeply connected to its place.
The kitchen is led by chef Dani Frías, described as the "Alma Mater" of the project, with Patricia de León in the kitchen and Eva Ferrer managing the dining room. Together, they form a young and dynamic team dedicated to a singular approach: there is no à la carte menu. Instead, La Ereta offers a tasting menu, inviting guests to simply let themselves be carried along. The cooking is rooted in traditional flavours, grounded in recognisable ingredients, but updated with modern techniques and preparations.
This is modern Mediterranean cuisine, expressed through a degustation format that changes with the seasons and the market. Dishes mentioned in the restaurant's own materials — such as a royal of foie with chamomile and corn, or a red prawn ravioli with fried almond cream — point to a kitchen that values both finesse and the bold flavours of the Alicante region. A wine pairing option is available to complement the meal.
La Ereta’s recognition by Michelin as a recommended restaurant reflects this commitment to quality and a clear, confident vision. It is a place where the food, the team, and the extraordinary location work in harmony. Whether for a special occasion or a deliberate escape from the ordinary, La Ereta delivers a focused, memorable experience high above the city.
