The story
Vituco Gourmet is the realisation of a dream that began when a young engineer, Javi Beltri, left his career at 25 to pursue his true passion: cooking. His philosophy is simple and direct – “crear y cocinar para hacer felices a los demás a través del paladar” (to create and cook to make others happy through taste). This personal mission drives every plate at his restaurant in the centre of Alicante, on Calle Susana Llaneras.
The kitchen focuses on Peruvian cuisine, a vibrant tradition that Beltri interprets with his own sensibility. The restaurant’s own words describe it as an experience that “combine lo mejor de dos culturas” – a fusion that respects the roots of Peruvian cooking while reflecting the chef’s personal journey. The menu changes with the seasons, and the kitchen is attentive to dietary needs, with vegan and vegetarian options clearly marked. The atmosphere is welcoming, with air conditioning for comfort and outdoor seating for warmer evenings.
In 2026, Vituco Gourmet earned a Michelin Recommended distinction, a recognition that aligns with the restaurant’s commitment to quality and sincerity. For visitors to Alicante seeking authentic Peruvian flavours in a space built on genuine passion, this is a place that delivers exactly what it promises.
