The story
At Nub in Arona, Tenerife, the kitchen is led by two chefs whose paths converged on the island: Fernanda Fuentes Cárdenas from Chile and Andrea Bernardi from Italy. Since 2016, they have built a restaurant that is both a personal project and a culinary statement. The inspiration comes from clouds—their movement, transformation, and ability to stir emotion. In the same way, the chefs carry their own roots to new horizons, creating a cuisine that is deeply personal yet without borders.
The setting is the Hotel Bahía del Duque in Costa Adeje, but the cooking is anything but conventional. The restaurant holds a Michelin star, a recognition of the high quality and clear vision behind every plate. The cuisine is described as "cocina de raíces" —a cooking rooted in origin, memory, and maximum respect for the product. The Canary Islands provide the stage and the raw materials: extraordinary ingredients from a generous land that become the soul of the menu.
Nub’s proposal is a constant search for connection. Each dish is a story, each aroma a memory, and each visit a journey that leaves a mark. The chefs rescue traditions and build cultural bridges, transforming the local product into emotion. The result is a dining experience that feels both grounded and free—like clouds moving across the sky, always changing, always surprising.
