The story
Since 1990, La Bonaigua has been a family-run restaurant in Sant Just Desvern, just outside Barcelona. The first generation, self-taught and driven by hard work, laid the foundation. Today, the second generation – Sonia and David – manages the dining room with constant dedication, while the third generation is already part of the kitchen. The philosophy remains the same: respect for the product and love for traditional Catalan cuisine.
At the heart of the kitchen is chef Victor Pardo, a lover of simplicity and quality ingredients. He trained in the teams of restaurants with three Michelin stars, including El Celler de Can Roca and Quique Dacosta. Alongside him, Antonella brings experience from kitchens such as Quique Dacosta, Azurmendi, Aponiente, and Uliassi. Together, they work daily with fresh product, crafting dishes that honour the classics while staying connected to the season.
La Bonaigua recently underwent a complete renovation, unveiling a new main dining room and a refreshed corporate image. The space is designed for comfort, with a capacity of 120 guests, wheelchair access, and outdoor seating for warmer days. The atmosphere is welcoming and unpretentious – a place where the focus is on the food and the company.
The menu changes regularly, always based on what is fresh and local. The team’s commitment to straightforward, well-executed cooking has earned them recognition: La Bonaigua is Michelin Recommended for 2026. This award reflects the consistency and quality that three generations have maintained, generation after generation.
Whether you come for a Sunday lunch or a quiet dinner, the experience is rooted in the same values that started it all: work, passion, and respect for the table.
