The story
In Córdoba, just minutes from the historic centre and the archaeological site of Medina Azahara, chef Celia Jiménez runs a restaurant that brings together innovation and deep respect for Andalusian tradition. She is recognised as the first woman from Andalusia to earn a Michelin star, and her restaurant holds a Michelin Recommended distinction – a testament to the consistent quality of her work.
The dining room is an open, airy space with clean lines and an inviting atmosphere. Here, the chef presents a cuisine that is contemporary in execution but firmly anchored in the region’s culinary heritage. The menu changes regularly, reflecting the seasons and the chef’s ongoing evolution. Two tasting menus offer a broader journey through her repertoire: an 8-course option at €65 and a 10-course option at €75. Both include artisanal bread, a tasting of extra virgin olive oil, and mignardises. Wine pairings are available, with a selection of four or six wines (€25 and €32 respectively), drawn from Spain’s most representative Denominations of Origin, with a special focus on Andalusia.
A past event at the restaurant gives a glimpse of the kind of dishes that might appear: a mazamorra with smoked sardine and green apple foam, tartar of Iberian presa with onion foie and crispy capers, a snail gyoza with smoked mint broth, and a chocolate cream with Ras el Hanout sand. These plates are typical of her style – rooted in local ingredients and classic recipes, but given a modern, precise twist.
For business lunches, the restaurant offers executive menus from Monday to Friday, designed to be complete and balanced while still showcasing the kitchen’s creativity. The space provides a calm, elegant setting for conversation, and the price includes drinks and service, offering clarity for those managing budgets.
Celia Jiménez’s cooking is a direct expression of her background and her city: modern cuisine that never loses sight of its Andalusian foundations. It is a place to experience the depth of Córdoba’s gastronomic identity, interpreted with skill and a light, confident hand.
