The story
Situated on Plaça del Blanquer in the heart of Inca, Joan Marc Restaurant has earned a Michelin Recommended distinction for its thoughtful modern cuisine. Chef Joan Marc Garcias draws on the island's rich culinary traditions while expressing them through contemporary techniques and a deep respect for local ingredients.
The kitchen fills its pantry daily with produce from the immediate surroundings. Menus change monthly, reflecting what is at its peak. The restaurant's own bread is made with organic Xeixa wheat, a traditional Mallorcan variety, and served with extra virgin olive oil and Es Trenc flower salt. Every dish on the tasting menus is built around the flavours of the Balearic Islands.
Joan Marc offers several ways to experience its cooking. The Tasting Menu is available in five or eight courses, with a vegetarian version that adapts the same seasonal philosophy. For a more casual meal, the Tapes menu features classic tapas and racions alongside a weekly Arròs Sec made with bombeta rice from Sa Pobla.
The spring 2026 tasting menu includes dishes such as spring onion soup with poached egg and Mahón cheese, duck galantine with orange, fried aranyes with a sauce of broad beans and peas, and confit cod "d'Ham" with chickpeas. Desserts like homemade brossat cheese, robiol with lemon cream and angel hair, and a warm dark chocolate cake round out the meal. A wine pairing is available for both the five- and eight-course options.
Chef Garcias is part of Chefsins, a collective of Mallorcan cooks that includes names like Marc Fosh and Santi Taura, underscoring his dedication to the island's gastronomic identity. The restaurant accommodates dietary restrictions and offers private dining for groups, making it a versatile choice for both intimate dinners and celebrations.
Joan Marc Restaurant is a place where modern cuisine meets Mallorcan soul – recognized by Michelin for good reason.
