The story
L'Eixida sits in the heart of Peratallada, a stone-walled village inland from the Costa Brava. The restaurant’s philosophy is summed up in one word: “Glocal.” It means starting with superb local produce – from the farms and sea of the Empordà region – and adding subtle inflections from cuisines around the world. The result is a Mediterranean fusion that feels both rooted and surprising, a balance of flavour that has earned the restaurant a Michelin Recommended distinction.
The dining room opens onto a picture-perfect terrace, shaded and cool in summer. Inside, the open kitchen lets you watch the cooks at work. There is also a private room for special celebrations. The setting does not try to impress – it simply invites you to settle in.
Menus change with the seasons, always built around what is best at the market. The kitchen uses the same care for a dedicated vegetarian option as for a fish or meat course. Dishes are not listed on the website, but the focus is clear: clean, layered flavours, presented without unnecessary fuss. Reservations are essential, and the experience runs about an hour and a half – long enough to relax, short enough to feel effortless.
L'Eixida is a place where the idea of “fusion” never feels forced. It is simply the natural outcome of a kitchen that looks outward while staying true to its corner of Catalonia.
