The story
Entre dos Mons – “Between Two Worlds” – sits in the centre of Palamós, on the Costa Brava. The name reflects its cuisine: a meeting point of Catalan tradition and Peruvian roots. The kitchen describes itself as dynamic and in constant evolution, where the products are the surprise and the diner the protagonist.
The restaurant is the project of Roger and Mila Acosta. Mila’s father was Peruvian, and his recipe for ceviche mixto – “tal como lo preparaba mi padre” – remains a signature dish. Together they have built a place that feels personal, from the welcome to the garden that supplies much of the produce.
The cooking is a fusion of Catalan and Peruvian cuisines, but not in a static way. The menu changes with the seasons and the market. Dishes like gamba de Palamós with citrus sabayon and caviar, or arroz meloso with local prawns, sit alongside anticuchos and causas. The restaurant also has its own huerto (garden), which supplies vegetables and herbs.
In 2026, Entre dos Mons was recognised as Michelin Recommended. The guide’s inspectors visited and tasted a selection of the kitchen’s work: ceviche, the famous rice with Palamós prawns, and a mascarpone dessert with vanilla, strawberries and organic lemon. The award confirms what regulars already know – that this is a place of serious cooking and genuine warmth.
Diners can choose from a tasting menu that runs to around a dozen courses, or order à la carte. The atmosphere is relaxed but attentive, with a carefully chosen Catalan wine list. Whether you come for a full experience or a single plate, the aim is the same: to make you feel at home between two worlds.
