The story
Kaos opened in 2022, the creation of three young enthusiasts who met while working at celebrated kitchens like El Celler de Can Roca, Enigma, Compartir, and Disfrutar. The trio’s shared dream came to life near the port of Palamós, where they set out to offer a seasonal Mediterranean cuisine meant to be shared, accompanied by wines that delight.
In summer 2025, the restaurant evolved. Now run by a couple—Dovar in the kitchen and Cristina in the dining room—Kaos has become a more intimate, deeply personal project. “This new stage is a project of love, slow fire, dishes that speak, and glances that embrace,” they write. The team’s passion for gastronomy remains at the core, with a stated goal: to make guests a little happier.
The menu reflects the restaurant’s roots and creativity. Start with a Gilda Kaos of cured mackerel, pickled onion, and caper, or a single red Palamós prawn croquette. For sharing, there’s sea bass sashimi with orange and fennel, or red prawn carpaccio with crème fraîche and Beluga caviar. Larger plates include grilled Palamós prawns, cod with green chilli pepper sauce, and a 45-day matured beef steak. Desserts range from a Baileys tiramisú to a hazelnut lava cake with passion fruit sorbet.
Kaos earned a Michelin Recommended distinction, a fitting nod to its thoughtful, market-driven cooking. The restaurant is closed Monday nights, Tuesdays, and Wednesdays.
