The story
Sábrego takes its name from the land itself: the Ribeiro, the oldest Denomination of Origin in Galicia. This is not a marketing tagline but the foundation of the restaurant’s identity. The kitchen is intrinsically linked to the singularity of the region, where landscape, history, wine and gastronomy come together.
The restaurant describes its cuisine as a unique proposal “where landscape, history, wine and gastronomy are fused.” This modern cuisine draws its character from the ancient vines – Treixadura, Godello, Torrontés – that produce the Casal de Armán wines. Sábrego is, in its own words, “the land of Ribeiro, our mother earth.”
Located in the small parish of San Andrés de Camporredondo, just outside Ribadavia, the restaurant operates with a clear seasonal rhythm. From July to August, it serves lunch Tuesday through Sunday and dinner Wednesday through Saturday. In the cooler months, from September to June, lunch service expands to Tuesday through Sunday, with dinner available on Fridays and Saturdays only.
The Michelin recommendation, awarded for 2026, recognises the quality and integrity of this project. The restaurant offers both lunch and dinner service, with tasting menus available for those booking before 15:15 or 22:30. For larger groups of seven or more, a separate reservation process applies.
Sábrego also operates a Casa Rural (rural house) and a wine cellar, La Bodega, extending the experience beyond the dining room. The restaurant can host events and private parties, and offers catering services. Outdoor seating is available in warmer months, and there is parking on site.
