Since 1951, Casa Bigote has been an emblem of Sanlúcar de Barrameda. What began as a small taberna opened by Fernando Hermoso to serve manzanilla to local fishermen has grown into a celebrated seafood restaurant, now run by the third generation of the Bigote family. This is a place where the kitchen respects the natural excellence of the fish and shellfish from the mouth of the Guadalquivir, cooking without unnecessary complication.

The heart of the menu is the langostino de Sanlúcar—a product of unique flavor and texture that the family carries in its blood and logo. Whether you order it boiled, grilled, or chiguato (a local preparation), it represents the very essence of the house. The rest of the carta follows the same philosophy: traditional, marinera cooking where the product is the star.

The restaurant's loyalty to this honest, ingredient-first approach has earned it a Michelin Bib Gourmand, a recognition for good quality, good value cooking. It is a natural fit for a kitchen that believes its success has always been guided by the sun and the spirit of Sanlúcar.

Dining at Casa Bigote offers two distinct experiences. The original taberna remains, a space decorated with treasures from the sea where you can enjoy a varied selection of tapas in the company of local mariners. Upstairs, two spacious, comfortable dining rooms offer excellent views of the Doñana National Park, providing a more relaxed setting for the full menu.

Time moves differently here. The stews have no hurry, the bar is for conversation, and the focus is on a full table and little else. This is the legacy of the Bigote family: to give continuity to excellence, both in the kitchen and in the dining room, by staying true to the traditional recipes that make Sanlúcar a national gastronomic reference.
