The story
Set along the Passeig de Sant Pol in Sant Feliu de Guíxols, Villa Más brings a refined yet relaxed approach to Mediterranean cooking. The restaurant is open for both lunch and dinner, with outdoor seating that lets diners take in the coastal air. It has earned a Michelin Recommended distinction, a recognition that speaks to the kitchen’s consistent quality and thoughtful ingredient sourcing.
The cooking is firmly rooted in the Mediterranean tradition, with dishes that change to reflect the freshest local produce. A sample summer midday menu offers a clear picture of the kitchen’s style. Starters might include stuffed zucchini with pickled vegetables and amberjack, fine green beans with Iberian ham and a creamy egg, or calamari pasta with aubergine, lemon and anchovy. Main courses range from hake a la Gallega to roasted guinea fowl with escalivada aubergine and vinegar-marinated anchovy, and a rabbit paella with fine green beans and Palamós prawns (minimum two guests). Desserts such as apricot Melba, and a caramelia chocolate cream with banana bread and toffee, round off the meal.
Alongside the food, Villa Más boasts an interesting wine list, thoughtfully chosen to complement the Mediterranean flavours. The restaurant’s relaxed, welcoming atmosphere makes it a natural choice for long lunches or unhurried dinners, with the kitchen open from 1pm to 4pm and again from 8pm to 11pm. Closed on Tuesdays.
