The story
Epílogo is the end – a conclusion of every product and culinary technique encountered along a journey, a river, told in three acts. The restaurant describes itself as small, bashful, and haughty, inviting guests to embark on a voyage and discover all the stories of the Guadiana. This narrative thread runs through the dining experience, tying each course to the landscape of Castilla-La Mancha.
The menu unfolds as a tasting journey, with two options: the shorter “El Inicio” and the longer “Menú Gastronómico Largo”. The latter requires punctuality – last service is before 14:30 – to allow the full, unhurried rhythm of the meal. The experience typically lasts between 1.5 and 3 hours, though the team adapts to each table’s pace. Allergies and dietary restrictions are accommodated where possible, though only “El Inicio” can be adapted for celiacs.
The restaurant’s commitment to high-quality modern cuisine has been recognised with a Michelin star, a testament to the precision and creativity woven into each act of the Guadiana story.
Located in the Salones Epílogo complex on Paseo Ramón Ugena, just steps from Tomelloso’s bullring, the space is designed for fine dining. It is open for lunch Tuesday through Sunday, closed on Mondays. The atmosphere is refined yet welcoming, with air conditioning, outdoor seating, and the option for private parties. Reservations are essential, and the restaurant asks for a minimum of 24 hours’ notice for cancellations. Children under 14 are not admitted, ensuring a calm, adult-focused experience.
