The story
Just five minutes from Valencia, in the coastal village of Pinedo, Arrocería Pinedo Beach sits 120 metres from the sea. It is a bright, modern space with a large terrace, a pool, and a lounge area where guests can stay for a drink after lunch. The setting is relaxed and green, with palm trees and balinese beds, and the restaurant is open all year (closed Tuesdays). The complex also offers free private parking for over 140 cars.
The kitchen is led by chefs Vanessa Torrentí and Paola Roig, both veterans of the SOMGastro Arrocería Group. Their cooking draws on traditional Valencian cuisine but adds a creative, market-driven touch. Executive chef Maria José Estevens oversees all four arrocerías in the group, bringing decades of experience and a commitment to sustainable, local ingredients. The result is rice dishes that are both rooted in the region and subtly original.
The menu centres on arroces and paellas, from the classic Paella Valenciana to more inventive takes like the Paella de Planctón y gambas, which combines plankton and prawns. Other regulars include the arroz al senyoret (peeled rice with seafood) and arroz de bogavante (lobster rice). Starters such as sepia playa with a pine-nut vinaigrette and baby broad beans show the kitchen’s attention to detail. A well-chosen wine list features Valencian bottles.
In 2026, the restaurant was again included in the Michelin Guide as a Recommended restaurant, one of just 51 in the Valencian Community to receive the distinction. The award reflects the quality of the cooking and the consistency of the experience. Between the relaxed poolside lounge and the focused rice dishes, Arrocería Pinedo Beach offers a genuine taste of Valencian cuisine just steps from the beach.
