The story
Moreno Musetti founded this family run establishment in 1999 and now steers the culinary direction alongside his relatives. He has dedicated both the wine list and the daily menu entirely to an Italian kitchen philosophy. Gault&Millau awarded the venue 13 points for its consistent focus on seasonal ingredients purchased fresh from regional markets. Current daily specials are announced directly at the table, allowing the kitchen to adapt quickly to market availability.
Starters feature bruschette layered with olive tapenade, raw ham, and diced tomatoes. The kitchen also prepares a robust fish soup using a tomato broth, served alongside thick slices of toasted peasant bread. Main courses highlight seasonal vegetables, such as green asparagus alla milanese paired with poached egg, shaved parmesan, and San Daniele prosciutto. Delicate veal ravioli wrapped in thin dough finishes with nut butter and sage leaves.
The terrace sits beneath mature linden trees, offering a quiet dining space near the Fondation Beyeler. A curated wine list draws selections from multiple Italian regions to complement the meal. Desserts remain classical, with zabaglione paired with vanilla ice cream providing a gentle conclusion. The overall rhythm encourages guests to linger over conversation while enjoying straightforward Mediterranean flavors.
