The story
Since 2012, Bayview has anchored the Geneva dining scene from its prime position on Quai Wilson, overlooking the lake and the Alps. The restaurant earned its Michelin star in 2014 and has held it consistently, a testament to the kitchen’s unwavering commitment to quality. In May 2023, Chef Danny Khezzar—a finalist on Top Chef Season 14 and a protégé of Meilleur Ouvrier de France Michel Roth—took the helm, bringing a fresh, modern energy to this storied address.
Khezzar’s cooking is a refined expression of haute cuisine rooted in the Geneva terroir. The kitchen sources premium ingredients directly from regional producers, proudly featuring products labeled “Genève Région – Terre Avenir” (GRTA) to ensure traceability and fairness. As the restaurant puts it, “The Geneva terroir offers an incredible bounty of vegetables, grains, and fruits, alongside fresh lake fish and exceptional Swiss meats.” This commitment to local, sustainable sourcing defines the menu.
The dining experience is as much about the setting as the plate. Luxurious mahogany furniture and a modern blue-and-gold palette frame the spectacular lake views. The wine cellar holds 800 carefully selected bottles, including Petrus and Château Cheval Blanc, guided by Head Sommelier Geoffrey Bentrari. The restaurant offers a 7-course tasting menu at lunch and a 10-course version at dinner, alongside a monthly-changing 4-course lunch menu. Pastry Sous-Chef Amanda Vanelle adds a sweet finish to each meal.
Beyond the Michelin star, Bayview has earned 18 points and 4 hats from Gault&Millau, and was named “Talent of the Year 2026” by La Liste. It is a place where technical mastery meets a deep respect for the land—a true Geneva landmark.
