The story

Café de la Réunion Geneva: Modern Swiss Dining Under the Salève

A New Chapter Under the Salève

Café de la Réunion continues its decades-long presence in Geneva with a refreshed approach to modern Swiss cooking. Founder Patrick Laporte recently handed operations to chef Jérémy Frizot and service director Enzo De Giorgio, who now follow the harvest calendar rather than rigid classics. Fresh produce from Veyrier and surrounding valleys arrives daily to guide every plate.

Precision on the Plate

The tuna tataki pairs sharply with a spiced mango salad and cooling cucumber wasabi sorbet. Warm oysters appear alongside a Japanese tosazu sabayon that cuts through their natural richness. Slow-cooked veal cheek rests on toasted fregola sarda, a lineup that earned the venue a 14-point Gault&Millau rating for consistent execution.

Light and Conversation

Shaded terraces welcome guests during warmer months beneath the quiet slopes of the Salève. Two enclosed rooms separate intimate gatherings from the main dining floor. Enzo De Giorgio guides the wine program with precise pairings that complement the seasonal menu, keeping service polished while preserving genuine warmth.
