The story
At Millennium in Crissier, just outside Lausanne, La Brasserie offers a modern take on classic French cuisine. The atmosphere is both warm and elegant, designed for relaxed meals that feel special without pretension. Chef Mickael Marini leads the kitchen, working with seasonal produce and traditional techniques to create dishes that are both reassuring and surprising. The Michelin guide has recognised this approach, awarding the restaurant its "Recommended" distinction for 2026.
The menu changes with the seasons, highlighting the best of the terroir. A recent summer carte features a roasted Canette des Dombes with cherries, a dish that balances rich flavour with bright fruit. For weekday business lunches, a rotating menu is served in under an hour, offering a choice of a plat du jour or a full three-course meal. Each plate is prepared with care, letting the quality of the ingredients speak for itself.
Adjacent to the brasserie, the Cave Millennium houses a carefully curated selection of several hundred wines. From vintage cuvées to rare finds from small producers, the collection is designed to complement the cuisine. Guests can enjoy wines by the glass, self-service, or guided tastings. The cave can also be reserved for private events, adding another layer to the restaurant’s appeal for both locals and visitors.
