The story
In the historic San Giorgio quarter of Losone, just minutes from Locarno, Osteria dell’Enoteca occupies a 19th-century Ticino house where the atmosphere is intimate and refined. Here, Chef Jacopo Rovetini leads the kitchen with a philosophy built on essential, contemporary cuisine that respects the ingredient above all else.
Rovetini’s cooking is guided by seasonality, a continuous pursuit of quality, and the harmony of flavours. His dishes are conceived to enhance each ingredient in its purest expression, with Mediterranean influences that lend identity and character to every plate. Technique serves the ingredient, never the other way around, resulting in a cuisine that is precise, recognisable, and coherent.
The menu is offered as a curated experience. A business lunch (two courses, Tuesday to Friday) provides a more essential rhythm, while the tasting menus—available in five or seven courses—are the fullest expression of Rovetini’s vision. Each tasting menu is a carefully designed journey through different flavours, textures, and rhythms, with the option of a selected wine pairing. The seven-course option is a more immersive narrative, where technique, instinct, and imagination unfold with greater depth.
The restaurant’s enoteca is a dedicated space for wine, where Heike and Giuseppe guide guests through an international selection that highlights Swiss bottles, with particular attention to Ticino, alongside labels from Italy, Spain, and France. The enoteca also welcomes small groups for aperitifs in an intimate setting.
This commitment to quality and hospitality has been recognised with a Michelin Star and 16 Gault&Millau points. For Rovetini and his team, these awards are a daily stimulus toward excellence, always in service of the ingredient and the guest’s experience.
