The story
After more than thirty years in operation, the Landgasthof Adler in Ried-Muotathal embarked on a new path in February 2026. The focus has shifted to the essential: seasonal theme weeks with a deliberately reduced selection of dishes. The restaurant is small and personally run, with a limited number of tables to ensure a particularly cozy experience.
The kitchen at Adler operates in a rhythm of changing themes. In regular intervals, the team dedicates itself to a new culinary direction, offering a small selection of dishes that match the current orientation. This is straightforward, seasonal country cooking, rooted in the traditions of the region. The cuisine here is not about endless choices but about doing a few things well, with ingredients that speak for themselves.
Alongside the dining room, the Gnuss Lädeli has opened. This self-service shop is open seven days a week from 8:00 to 22:00, offering the restaurant's own homemade products for guests to take home. It is a natural extension of the kitchen's philosophy: bring the flavour of the Adler into your own kitchen.
The commitment to quality has earned Adler a Michelin Bib Gourmand award, which recognizes good quality, good value cooking. For those wishing to extend their visit, the inn offers two comfortably furnished double rooms.
Open from Wednesday to Saturday by reservation only, the Adler limits its guest count to keep the experience personal. For groups of five or more, the team is happy to tailor the menu, schedule, and individual wishes to the occasion, whether it is a birthday, a civil wedding, or an evening with friends.
