Welcome to First, a Michelin-recommended restaurant in Ottikon bei Kemptthal, where contemporary cuisine meets an unforgettable panoramic view. Perched in the green hills of Weisslingen, this is a place to savour both the food and the landscape.

The kitchen team works with a clear, seasonal approach. Thursday and Friday bring three different lunch menus – vegetarian, fish, and meat – priced from CHF 24.00 to CHF 38.00, each including a starter of soup or salad. The full à la carte selection is also available at midday, alongside daily “gluschtige” recommendations that change with the market. The wine list is carefully chosen from Europe’s finest growing regions, offering a thoughtful selection of noble drops to accompany your meal.

Dein Raum

The restaurant offers several distinct spaces. The garden is a highlight, with sweeping views and a spectacular sunset. The Säntisstube brings glamour with a chandelier and a direct line of sight to the Säntis mountain. For those who appreciate nostalgia, the Beizen-Stübli with its tiled stove provides a cosy retreat. The Schüür, a converted barn, is equipped with a multimedia system, large screen, and projector – ideal for parties, presentations, or aperitifs.

Reservations & Hours

First is open Thursday and Friday from 11:30 to 14:00 and from 18:00 until evening, and Saturday and Sunday from 11:30 continuously. For groups of 20 or more, the team is happy to open from Monday to Wednesday. Reservations can be made by phone or email.
