The story
Inside the Four Seasons Hotel Abu Dhabi at Al Maryah Island, Butcher & Still channels a 1920s Chicago steakhouse. Leather banquettes, rich wood floors, and a bar built for Prohibition-era cocktails set the tone. The restaurant is a deliberate departure from the glass-and-steel towers outside, offering a space that feels both timeless and transportive.
The kitchen focuses on prime cuts of American beef, with the Butcher & Still Signature Tomahawk Chop — a 21-day aged bone-in rib-eye — as a centerpiece. Beyond steak, the menu includes a 99% Lump Crab Cake with scallop and remoulade, and a Cherry Pie à la Mode created by the executive pastry chef, made with two types of sweet and sour cherries and served with vanilla ice cream and caramel sauce. A signature Masterdish, The Tribune Tower, layers Valrhona chocolate 34 times as a nod to Chicago’s iconic 1920s skyscraper.
A hidden passage leads to The Hideaway, an ultra-exclusive private dining room accessed by a secret elevator — a true speakeasy within the restaurant. Daily happy hour runs from 4:00 pm to 7:00 pm, with weekly specials like King Crab Mondays and Oyster Fridays, plus a Caviar and Champagne Experience pairing premium caviar with Perrier-Jouët.
Butcher & Still was selected by the Michelin Guide in 2026, and has also been recognized by Gault & Millau and named Restaurant of the Year by What’s On Abu Dhabi. It’s a confident, grown-up take on the classic American steakhouse — polished, atmospheric, and built for lingering over a proper drink.
