Chef Dmitry Blinov’s Story and International Recognition

Dmitry Blinov’s path to the kitchen began by chance at the age of 17, but his talent quickly became evident. He opened his first DUO Gastrobar in St. Petersburg in 2014, and it was soon named the city’s best restaurant by the WhereToEat award. Over the following decade, Blinov launched a string of acclaimed concepts—from Tartarbar to Harvest—before expanding to Dubai in 2023. The DUO Gastrobar in Dubai Creek Harbour opened in November 2024, and by 2025 it had earned a coveted Michelin Bib Gourmand, which recognizes “good quality, good value cooking.” The Dubai Hills location received the same honor, alongside a toque from Gault&Millau. This recognition underscores the restaurant’s commitment to making refined modern cuisine accessible without pretension.
