The story

The Guild Dubai: Michelin-Recommended Brasserie in DIFC | Wattafork

Welcome to The Guild

The Guild calls itself Dubai’s homegrown brasserie, and it feels like one. Open since 2024, it has already earned a Michelin Recommended badge – a recognition that suits its unpretentious ambition. The idea is simple: great food, great people, and the pleasure of gathering as a community.

The restaurant occupies ICD Brookfield Place in DIFC, but it doesn’t feel corporate. The origin story, told on their site, imagines a place where bakers, chefs, and barkeeps gather – “gin fumes and flour dust plumped the air above them.” That spirit carries through five distinct spaces. The Salon, with its red-brick fireplace and open kitchen, is the heart of the house. The Nurseries, inspired by Soho’s cobbled streets, is lined with potted plants and serves light lunches that stretch into cocktails. The Potting Shed offers soft couches and cigars. The Rockpool houses a raw bar with North Atlantic lobster, Kelly oysters, and King crab – the centrepiece of their Saturday Brunch Society, billed as Dubai’s biggest seafood buffet. And a new bar, open late Thursday to Saturday, brings nightlife with guest DJs.

Food and Drink as Community

The cuisine is brasserie, but it’s broad enough to include a wood-fired Sunday roast, a dry-aged tomahawk steak aged for weeks, and a Chilean seabass en papillote prepared tableside. There’s also a Menu Gourmand – two courses for AED 150 or three for AED 195 – designed for easy gathering. Dessert becomes theatre: a Valrhona chocolate mousse served with flourish.

The Wine Atlas, their wine list, ranges from everyday bottles to fine Champagne, with sommeliers on hand to guide. During the week, the Gilded Hour offers drinks from AED 35 with live DJs, and Wednesday nights bring complimentary wine for ladies.

Why It’s on Wattafork

The Guild fits the wattafork ethos: a place that wins awards by being itself. The Michelin Recommended tag for 2025 and 2026 confirms what the regulars already know – this is a brasserie that wears its ambition lightly, serving food that brings people together without fuss. Whether you come for the Sunday roast, a business lunch, or a late-night cocktail, the welcome is the same.
