The story
Hakkasan Dubai, the recipient of one Michelin Star in the Michelin Guide Dubai, offers a modern take on authentic Chinese cuisine within the striking setting of Atlantis The Palm. Since its founding in 2001, the Hakkasan brand has been defined by a philosophy of elegance, energy, and innovation—bringing traditional Chinese techniques together with the finest ingredients and contemporary flair.
Each Hakkasan kitchen is led by a talented chef whose passion lies in creating dishes that are deeply rooted in tradition yet distinctly modern. The menu is a balance of signature Hakkasan classics and an "Only At" collection crafted exclusively for Dubai. The result is a culinary experience that feels both familiar and fresh.
The a la carte menu is built around a few iconic dishes. The Hakkasan signature Peking duck, served with 16 pancakes and optional caviar, is a centrepiece—available whole or half, with a second course of XO sauce or ginger and spring onion. Another signature is the jasmine tea smoked Wagyu beef ribs, slowly braised for four hours in aromatic spices and then wok-smoked over jasmine tea leaves, infusing the meat with a delicate, subtle tea flavour. The grilled Chilean seabass with honey uses local Sidr tree honey from the UAE mountains and sustainably sourced seabass, a dish that is both conscious and delicious.
Among the dim sum, the supreme dim sum platter features kaffir lime lobster har gau, abalone, chicken shui mai with caviar, and A5 Saroma wagyu with black bean sauce. The premium dim sum selection includes truffle Chilean seabass, Hokkaido scallop, and Wagyu beef truffle puff. For seafood lovers, the wok-seared Boston lobster with persimmon and spicy lobster broth, and the Alaskan King crab with chilli, are both memorable. The wok-seared A5 Saroma tenderloin, with pickled radish and spicy tangerine sauce, showcases exceptional Japanese wagyu.
Beyond the food, the drinks programme is equally imaginative. From cocktails created by world-class mixologists to a unique wine philosophy, the collection is wide-ranging and thoughtfully curated. It complements the contemporary Chinese cuisine without overpowering it.
Hakkasan Dubai’s Michelin Star is not a one-off achievement—it has been held consistently since 2022, reflecting the kitchen’s commitment to high-quality cooking. This recognition, alongside earlier accolades including Time Out’s Best Chinese Restaurant and BBC Good Food’s Best Asian Restaurant, underscores the consistency and care that define the dining experience here.
Whether for an intimate dinner, a private event, or a large group celebration, Hakkasan Dubai offers a refined yet welcoming atmosphere in one of the city’s most iconic locations. It is a place where contemporary Chinese cuisine and Michelin-starred standards meet, in the heart of Palm Jumeirah.
